You're listening to The Jeff Adams Show. Kelly Clarkson can sing practically anything. But apparently, even Kelly Clarkson occasionally needs the band to keep playing while she handles an emergency. And I mean a bathroom emergency. According to Page Six, Kelly told a Las Vegas audience about some serious stomach trouble and wondered whether she'd picked up that parasite people were talking about. Now, to be clear... That was her wondering out loud. The story doesn't establish that she actually had it. But can you imagine having to manage that while performing? You've got lights, you've got wardrobe, you've got thousands of people expecting a big finish. Your stomach's got a completely different production scheduled. And this is why I like Kelly. Some celebrities want you to believe they float through life drinking cucumber water and looking fabulous. Kelly will tell an entire room, things have gone terribly wrong. That's a paraphrase, by the way. Her version was considerably more colorful. Somewhere, a publicist is slowly closing a laptop. But listen, we've all had that moment when your stomach makes a noise and suddenly your whole schedule becomes flexible. You stop caring about your unread emails. You're identifying exits. And a salad being involved? Come on. You're trying to make a responsible decision at lunch, and now the lettuce needs a background check? Seriously, I hope she's feeling better. Being sick is miserable. Having to get on stage while you're dealing with it? That's rough. But being able to tell the story and laugh at yourself afterward? Kelly, I respect that. Although next time the band says, take it away, Kelly, they may want to be more specific.
